In December 2017, Beijing United Coatings Technologies Co. (UCT) successfully applied its own developed plasma spray gun rotary device to spray the cylinder bore of automobile engines. The core system of the plasma spray torch Rotary system was built by Beijing UCT, includes the plasma control unit, gas management unit, powder feeder, power supply unit, chiller, ID gun, and the gun rotating mechanism. The system can be applied for spraying the inner surface of the cylinder bore of gasoline and diesel engines to replace the cylinder sleeve process for the purpose of automobile lightweight.
