Beijing Langqiao Material Technology Co., Ltd. (LQ) previously Beijing Langqiao Surface Technology Co. was founded by Penn Jia (Jeff) with his father Prof. Yongchang Jia in 1996. In the early years, LQ engaged in thermal spray material manufacturing and marketing. From 2002 LQ became the China representative of Sulzer Metco till 2012. In the past few years after 2012, LQ returned to its material manufacturing business as it did before acting Sulzer Metco China representitive and launched thermal spray system manufacturing as a new part of its business scope.

Beijing United Coatings Technology Co., Ltd (UCT) founded in 2009 by Penn Jia, a few years later, Prof. Jia joined the company. It was originally a thermal spray coating job shop opened in Changping district in north Beijing.

To better serve our customers, increase operation efficiency and strengthen thermal spray as our core business. The management of LQ and UCT decide to transfer all the thermal spray business of LQ to UCT. UCT will therefore become a company covers the total solutions of thermal spray system, material, and coating service under one roof. The official website of UCT is www.united-coatings.com. LQ as a company established in 1996, now named Beijing Langqiao Material Technology Co. will carry on its new mission but will be engaged in other fields.
