Thermal spraying wire has been the main product of Langqiao Surface Technology Co. (LQ) since Year 2000. LQ is the first manufacturer in China that applied the manufacturing process of cored wire for welding to produce thermal spray use wires. LQ is also the first manufacturer in China produced nickel clad cored wire by using nickel or nickel chromium strip, and nickel-aluminum cored wire with a nickel wire as the core for bondcoat. All these products development success thank to Professor Yongchang Jia, the CTO of LQ Company.

Arc Spray or Twin-wire Arc Spray is one of thermal spray processes, originally however due to its working principle has a narrower application range of field as it can only spray electric conductive metal or alloy material that can be drawn into wires. With these metal or alloy wires the application range of arc spray is limited to some traditional fields such as anticorrosion and dimension restoration etc. With the emerging of cored wire technology, the types of materials for arc spraying have been greatly expanded, and the application fields have also been increased to wear resistance and high temperature resistance etc. and even applied in aero industry.

LQ has many featured cored wire products, including LX88A which had been already known across the country early in 2000, and the newly launched wires used for bondcoat such as LX70 (an economic iron-based bondcoat wire), LX103 (a composite aluminum strip coated nickel wire) as well as LX45 (for high temperature anticorrosion) used to substitute foreign product 45CT.
